We are hosting a Pink Sports Day in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). Thank you for getting involved in our fundraising and helping BCNA to inform, support, connect and represent all Australians affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women with one in seven diagnosed in their lifetime. Over 20,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year as well as over 170 men. Your support will help these women, men and families to not go through their journey alone.

On Saturday 8 May, every sporting team at Wenona, including staff and coaches, will be turning pink. Every girl will be wearing Pink Lady socks as we proudly play soccer, basketball, netball and hockey in support of all of the mothers, sisters, grandmothers, cousins, aunties and friends who have been affected by breast cancer. We will be playing for the women who are still in our lives today and in memory of those who continue to live in our hearts. And we will be raising awareness across our community about the importance of regular health checks and early diagnosis so that more Australian women have an opportunity to live long and healthy lives.
