The last time the Melbourne Vixens hosted a PLAY4BCNA round with a crowd at John Cain arena was season 2019! It has been wonderful to maintain our strong partnership and support the team through hub life and a premiership in 2020 and through limited crowds and minimal activities in 2021 and now look forward to the Round 8 clash where John Cain Arena will see pink on the court, in the den and as crowds arrive to the venue.
With more than 20,000 women and 170 men diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia each year the netball community rallies together to show support and pink up across clubs and associations Australia wide. The Melbourne Vixens annual PLAY4BCNA round is an amazing show case of support, inclusion and pink activities to help raise vital funds to assist Breast Cancer Network Australia to continue to work to ensure Australians can access the very best support, treatment and care.
Join us at John Cain Arena on May 7 and immerse yourself in loads of pink fun - there will be some great pink merchandise on sale including our Pink PLAY4BCNA beanies, pink lady netball socks, pink laces, pink hair accessories, gilbert pink netball keyrings and more! Fans can visit the hair braiding station inside the den or get a Pink Lady temporary tattoo or photo's with the Giant Pink Lady inflatable.
Outside the venue a tribute field to acknowledge, celebrate or remember our loved one's affected by breast cancer. Take the time to pause, reflect and consider the 57 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer, every day each year.
